Royal St. Lucia Police Power – On Thursday August 3, 2023 about 6:20 p.m. Officers hooked up to the Gros Islet Police Station obtained a report of a theft at Corinth, Gros Islet.
On arrival on the scene Officers noticed one (1) male with obvious gunshot wounds about his physique.
The male was later recognized as thirty -three (33) 12 months outdated Ted Smith of Mon Repos, Micoud was transported to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH) through ambulance and was later pronounced useless by a medical practitioner.
Ted Smith was reportedly committing an armed theft and within the course of was fatally shot by a licenced firearm holder.
A submit mortem examination is scheduled for a later date.
Investigations are ongoing into this matter.
