BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Hurricane Tammy is predicted to carry heavy rainfall and flooding over a lot of the Lesser Antilles because it inches nearer to the Leeward islands late tonight and Saturday.
The hurricane, with sustained most winds of 75 miles per hour (mph), is about 165 miles east of Martinique and 240 miles southeast of the opposite French island of Guadeloupe.
Hurricane warnings are in impact for the French islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, and St. Kitts and Nevis. On the similar time, a hurricane watch has been issued for Anguilla, St. Maarten, St. Martin, and St. Barthelemy.
