BUDAPEST, Hungary, CMC – Cayman Islands swimmer Jordan Crooks added one other accolade to his illustrious profession after clinching the bronze medal within the 100-meter freestyle last on the World Aquatics Swimming Championships in Budapest on Thursday.
The 22-year-old touched the wall in a blistering 45.48 seconds, narrowly edged out by Brazil’s Guilherme Santos, who claimed silver at 45.47, and the USA’s Jack Alexy, who took gold with 45.38.
This achievement marks Crooks’ second medal on the short-course championship. His first got here in 2022, when he stormed to victory within the 50-meter freestyle, making historical past because the Cayman Islands’ first world champion.
