Three excellent Jamaican group stalwarts have been honored on the Annual Marcus Garvey Rootz Extravaganza , lately held on the Miramar Multi-Service Middle in Miramar.

L-R: Jabulani Tafari, Vice President of the Rootz Basis and co-host of the annual occasion now celebrating twentieth anniversary; Attorney Marlon Hill , honoree; Catherine Malcolm, honoree, entrepreneur/co-owner of established Jamaican franchise, Jerk Machine; Jamaica’s Consul Normal Oliver Mair; Peter Webley, writer of the Caribbean Right now, month-to-month publication; and Mrs. Jean Garvey, widow of late Marcus Garvey, Jr., son of the late civil rights chief and Jamaican Nationwide Hero. The annual cultural occasion additionally celebrated the 137th birthday anniversary of Marcus Mosiah Garvey.
