SANTIAGO, Chile, CMC – Jasmine Abrams captured silver and teammate Emanuel Archibald as Guyana tasted success within the 100-meter finals on the Pan American Video games right here Tuesday evening.
Abrams, 29, clocked 11.52 seconds to comply with house winner Cuban Yunisleydis García, who was timed at 11.36 seconds.
Trinidadian Michelle-Lee Ahye, a former Commonwealth dash champion, clinched bronze at 11.53.
Ahye’s teammate, Reyare Thomas, completed sixth in 11.69.
Archibald, in the meantime, crossed the road in 10.31, as José González of the Dominican Republic took gold in 11.36, with Brazil’s Felipe Bardi second in 10.31.
Jamaican Odaine McPherson was one from final in 10.44.
On Wednesday, Abrams’ youthful sister, Aliyah Abrams, will line up within the ultimate of the ladies’s 400-meter ultimate as the one Caribbean athlete within the occasion.
