The assembly was hosted by the CARICOM Implementation Company for Crime and Safety (IMPACS) and the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNLIREC) in collaboration with the Authorities of Saint Lucia.
Contributors reviewed progress on the Roadmap’s targets and motion factors, which embody strengthening regulatory frameworks on firearms and ammunition; lowering the illicit stream of firearms into, inside and past the area, and strengthening legislation enforcement capability to fight illicit firearms trafficking.
