FORT LAUDERDALE – The 1st Take Youth Film Program, a dynamic initiative, will give South Florida’s subsequent era of filmmakers the possibility to expertise filmmaking firsthand. This thrilling occasion will happen on March 28, 2025, from 12 to three p.m. on the African-American Analysis Library and Cultural Middle (2650 Sistrunk Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL) and is designed to encourage and empower aspiring filmmakers ages 13 to 18.
Nationwide Youth Arts Month
Timed completely with Nationwide Youth Arts Month, which celebrates the artistic contributions of younger folks throughout the nation, the first Take Youth Movie Program emphasizes the significance of arts schooling and artistic expression for youth.
The month highlights how engagement within the arts fosters creativity, important pondering, and self-expression—values central to this program. By empowering younger filmmakers to discover their voices, this system aligns with Nationwide Youth Arts Month’s mission to nurture and amplify the following era of artists and creators.
The first Take Youth Movie Program gives a complete, hands-on studying expertise in writing, producing, modifying, and advertising and marketing. It focuses on management, teamwork, and entrepreneurship and culminates with a showcase of youth-created movies that replicate their communities’ distinctive tales and experiences.
Seasoned filmmakers and neighborhood advocates Allen Maldonado and Kamal Ani-Bello will host this system and provide mentorship and steering.
