    Walcott leads T&T Olympic Team at Paris Olympic Games – Caribbean Life

    The 2012 Olympic gold medallist Keshorn Walcott will lead the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Group from July 26 to Aug. 11 on the Paris 2024 Summer season Olympic Video games in France.

    The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) not too long ago introduced the checklist of athletes who can be representing T&T this yr. TTOC acknowledged that the chosen athletes embody the spirit of willpower, talent, and nationwide pleasure as they put together to compete on the worldwide stage.

    The nationwide contingent will comprise 17 athletes which incorporates seven girls and ten males throughout three sporting disciplines; Athletics, Biking, and Swimming. These athletes have been chosen based mostly on their excellent performances and dedication to their respective disciplines which landed them their qualifying spots.

    Alongside javelin ace and two-time Olympic medallist, Walcott, can be Olympian and World Championship medallist Jereem Richards, along with veteran sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye, bicycle owner Nicholas Paul, and T&T ace swimmer Dylan Carter.

    TTOC’s President Diane Henderson stated, “We’re thrilled to unveil the Trinidad and Tobago group for the Paris 2024 Summer season Olympic Video games in addition to the partnership with the IOC’s TOP accomplice Deloitte & Touche.”

    She stated, “These athletes have proven unbelievable resilience and keenness of their pursuit of excellence. They solely have just some weeks earlier than the beginning of the video games, which I’m positive they’ll utilise to sharpen their expertise and proudly signify our nation on the worldwide platform.

    “Having the help of Deloitte & Touche’s Sponsorship presently is of nice significance to us.”
