A US citizen who pleaded responsible to smuggling greater than $1 million price of marijuana, cocaine and heroin into Bermuda has been sentenced to seven years in jail.
The accused man, who’s from Arizona, claimed he was manipulated into transporting the medication that authorities found after he landed within the rich archipelago in November 2022, in line with a narrative printed Friday by The Royal Gazette newspaper.
Officers mentioned they discovered 18 kilos of marijuana, two kilos of cocaine and one ounce of heroin in a suitcase carried by the suspect.
The newspaper reported the accused claimed he was given the suitcase by another person and he was supposed to offer it to a different particular person as soon as he arrived at his resort in Bermuda
