PARIS, France – Jamaica’s 19-year-old Tia Clayton blasted the sphere to win semi-final three of the ladies’s 100m in 10.89 seconds, beating again Nice Britain’s Daryll Neita in 10.97 seconds and American Twanisha Terry in 11.07 seconds.
Fourth place went to Germany’s Gina Lueckenkemper in 11.09 seconds.
Clayton might be Jamaica’s lone consultant in tonight’s remaining which comes up in simply over an hour’s time. Early reviews point out Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce acquired injured throughout warmup.
St Lucia’s Julien Alfred received semi-final two of the ladies’s 100m in a blistering time of 10.84 seconds, beating American favourite and World Champion Sha-Carri Richardson with 10.89 seconds. Third place went to Gambia’s Gina Mariam Bass Bittaye with 11.10 seconds. Patrizia van der Weken was fourth in 11.13 seconds.
Shashalee Forbes completed sixth within the first semi-final of the ladies’s 100m contained in the Stade de France. Forbes clocked 11.20 seconds in a race received by American Melissa Jefferson in 10.00 seconds, with Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith of Ivory Coast taking second in 11.01 seconds. Third place went to Mujinga Kambiundji of Switzerland in 11.05 seconds and Ewa Swoboda of Poland taking third place in 11.08 seconds.
