    The Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA swimming pool was full of kids who had been giddy with laughter, as they loved cooling down through the sweltering summer season days, due to Senator Kevin Parker, and the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc- Eta Nu Sigma Chapter Brooklyn Alumnae who made this annual occasion successful.

    The lawmaker joined the children lately to kick-off Swim 1922, an annual initiative in collaboration with the Sorority, with an purpose to extend swimming participation and scale back drowning charges.

    The politician instructed Caribbean Life, that the inspiration focuses on educating water security and swimming abilities, particularly in underserved communities.

    Senator Parker has been an avid supporter of Swim 1922 since its inception in 2009. He expressed his enthusiasm for the occasion, stating, “I’m honored to assist Swim 1922 and companion with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.- Eta Nu Sigma Chapter Brooklyn Alumnae.”

    “This initiative not solely promotes water security and swimming abilities but in addition strengthens our neighborhood by emphasizing the significance of variety and inclusion in all points of life,” he added.
