Three males from Grenada suspected within the disappearance of a U.S. couple whose catamaran was hijacked had been ordered deported from St. Vincent on Monday.
The lads, Trevon Robertson, a 19-year-old unemployed man; Abita Stanislaus, a 25-year-old farmer and Ron Mitchell, a 30-year-old sailor, had pleaded responsible to immigration expenses in a courtroom within the japanese Caribbean island of St. Vincent.
Senior Justice of the Peace Colin John ordered that they be repatriated “as quickly as practicable.”
The lads had escaped from a police holding cell in Grenada on Feb. 18 and are suspected of hijacking the catamaran whereas Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel had been aboard.
Police have stated they imagine the couple had been thrown overboard because the suspects sailed to St. Vincent, the place they had been arrested on Feb. 21. They haven’t been charged within the case.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities noting there have been indicators of violence aboard the couple’s boat discovered deserted in St. Vincent.
The nonprofit Salty Dawg Crusing Affiliation described Hendry and Brandel as “veteran cruisers” who participated in final yr’s Caribbean Rally from Hampton, Virginia, to Antigua, and had deliberate to spend the winter cruising within the japanese Caribbean.
