CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC – The St. Lucia authorities Monday introduced that the Judicial and Authorized Companies Fee had appointed veteran lawyer Robert Harmless as a particular prosecutor.
“This appointment underscores the federal government’s unwavering dedication to addressing misconduct instances and combating corruption by individuals holding public workplace. Mr. Harmless’s wealth of expertise positions him as a devoted and succesful chief within the pursuit of justice,” a short authorities assertion stated
It stated that the appointment of Harmless, who has 30 years of expertise in numerous judicial roles, together with the Workplace of the Director of Public Prosecution and the Magistracy, “marks a major step ahead within the authorities’s ongoing efforts to uphold the ideas of transparency, accountability, and integrity.
“The federal government of St. Lucia firmly believes that this appointment will strengthen the mechanisms in place to research and prosecute cases of corruption, sending a transparent message that misconduct by public officers won’t be tolerated,” the assertion added.
It stated the Phillip J Pierre authorities has “confidence in Mr. Harmless’s skill to contribute considerably to the pursuit of justice and upholding the rule of regulation in St. Lucia.”
The assertion didn’t point out what instances Harmless could be wanting into.
