BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC – Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has described the late Canadian former prime minister, Brian Mulroney, as “a statesman of outstanding caliber, whose management and contributions have left an indelible mark on the panorama of Canadian politics and society.”
Mulroney, who served because the 18th prime minister of Canada from 1984 to 1993, died on February 29 in the US on the age of 84. He was buried in Montreal, Canada, final Saturday.
In a letter to the Canadian authorities, Prime Minister Drew wrote of the significance of continuous diplomatic relations and fostering a strengthened partnership between the 2 nations, underscoring the legacy established by Mulroney.
