AOSIS STATEMENT: IMPACT OF US ELECTIONS ON CLIMATE CHANGE PROCESSES
The more and more devastating local weather disaster stops for no man, or lady. Our islands are on the frontlines, however we all know no nation – massive or small – is immune from more and more extreme, unprecedented climate impacts. That is evidenced by incidents such because the horrifying lack of life from Hurricane Helene, and the current stunning flooding in Spain which killed scores of individuals.
Whatever the consequence of this election, multilateralism is crucial on this course of. Small island growing states, together with our companions within the worldwide neighborhood, will proceed to do the important work to boost ambition throughout the board and pull our world again from the brink.
