Six nuns kidnapped in Haiti last week along with two other people have been launched, the archbishop of Port-au-Prince instructed The Related Press on Thursday.

The group was launched late Wednesday, and everyone seems to be in good situation, stated Archbishop Max Leroy Mésidor.

“Because of God for serving to us,” he stated.

He declined to say whether or not a ransom was paid or to supply different particulars, together with who was accountable. This newest high-profile kidnapping prompted religious leaders to issue a scathing letter criticizing the federal government for its inaction towards Haiti’s surge in gang-related violence.
