The Nationwide Setting and Planning Company (NEPA) is investigating what it describes as a “minor fish kill” within the Rio Cobre in St Catherine on Saturday.
This incident, in response to NEPA, is reportedly because of a pollutant within the river. The company mentioned the affected space is within the neighborhood of Jericho.
Responding to the incident, Angela Hamilton, Supervisor Public Schooling and Company Communication at NEPA mentioned, “Our workers has been deployed and is presently investigating the matter and each effort is being made to include the unfold of the pollutant alongside the river.”
