The Caribbean Neighborhood notes with deep unhappiness the passing on Friday 13 September 2024 of His Excellency Leonard Archer, former Bahamian Ambassador to CARICOM.
Throughout his 15 years of illustration to the Neighborhood, Ambassador Archer served his nation with distinction. He was instrumental within the actions of the Council for Overseas and Neighborhood Relations (COFCOR), contributing to enhancing the Neighborhood’s relationships with worldwide organizations and third states, together with the combination of Haiti as a Member State.
An avid commerce unionist, his wealth of data and experience in industrial relations helped to form CARICOM’s Constitution of Civil Society.
Ambassador Archer’s legacy features a strong contribution to schooling and the skilled formation of younger folks in his homeland, The Bahamas, and by extension, the Area.
CARICOM conveys condolences to the Authorities of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and his relations.
