The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation says it’s deeply saddened by the passing of Tyra Spaulding, a beloved finalist within the 2023 staging of its competitors.

Spaulding, a 26-year-old accountant, was reportedly discovered Tuesday night at her house with a curtain round her neck. Police are probing the case as a suspected suicide.
In an announcement on Thursday, the organisation described Spaulding as “greater than a contestant,” calling her “a vibrant, clever and galvanizing younger girl whose grace and spirit touched everybody she met.” Condolences had been prolonged to her household, mates, and family members on behalf of reigning Miss Universe Jamaica Dr. Gabrielle Henry and Nationwide Administrators Mark McDermoth and Karl Williams.
“Our ideas and prayers are with them as we keep in mind and honour her outstanding life and legacy. Could she relaxation in everlasting peace,” the assertion stated.
Spaulding was also referred to as an advocate for psychological well being and suicide prevention. “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the lack of the gorgeous Tyra Spaulding,” the organisation added. “She was a radiant soul and an incredible human being. Her mild, grace, magnificence and type spirit touched each life she encountered, leaving recollections that can by no means fade. She had a smile that lit up each room, bringing heat and pleasure to all who had the privilege of figuring out her.”
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation stated it is going to proceed to maintain Spaulding’s household, mates, and family members in its prayers because it celebrates “the gorgeous life she shared with us.”
