The State Board of Schooling has introduced its 2023-2024 Faculties of Excellence checklist, with Miami-Dade County Public Faculties (M-DCPS) standing out by representing 21% of the 774 faculties awarded throughout Florida.
This recognition highlights the district’s robust educational efficiency and dedication to instructional excellence.
Notably, M-DCPS led amongst massive city faculty districts, reaching the best proportion of Faculties of Excellence amongst its friends statewide.

In keeping with Part 1003.631(1)(a) of the Florida Statutes, a College of Excellence is set based mostly on a college’s efficiency, requiring earned factors in class grade calculations to be within the eightieth percentile or increased for related grade groupings (elementary, center, excessive, and mixture) over a minimum of two of the previous three faculty years.
