Miami-Dade County Public Faculties has introduced its high college leaders for 2025, honoring excellent academic management on the Dade Affiliation of College Directors’ (DASA) Annual Award Ceremony on Thursday, April 17, on the DoubleTree by Hilton Lodge in Miami.
Walter C. Corridor, principal of Leisure Metropolis Okay-8 Middle, was named the District’s 2025 Principal of the Yr. Corridor, a veteran educator with 20 years of service at Miami-Dade Public Faculties, was additionally not too long ago acknowledged with the distinguished 2025 Florida TaxWatch Principal Management Award. The award honors 15 top-performing principals throughout Florida from high-risk Okay-12 faculties, chosen primarily based on college efficiency knowledge and powerful group engagement.
Melissa M. Miller, assistant principal at Frederick Douglass Elementary College, was named Assistant Principal of the Yr. In recognition of their achievements, Corridor will obtain a $2,000 money prize and a three-year automotive lease sponsored by Headquarter Toyota. Miller will obtain a $1,500 money prize and a three-to-five-day ocean-view cruise courtesy of Royal Caribbean Group.
