Jamaican singer Lila Iké has formally introduced her debut album, Treasure Self Love, set for launch on August 22, 2025, by Wurl Ike Data, In.Digg.Nation Collective, and licensed to Ineffable Data.
The announcement comes alongside the discharge of her new single and music video, Romantic, that includes dancehall star Masicka.
The sultry monitor reimagines Patra’s 1994 hit Romantic Call, which initially featured rapper Yo-Yo and peaked at No. 55 on the Billboard Scorching 100. Lila’s model brings a contemporary twist, with Patra herself lending her voice to the intro and outro. Manufacturing was dealt with by British-Ghanaian producer Juls and Jamaican hitmaker Dunw3ll.
“Directed by Shane Artistic, the video drips in 90s nostalgia, with Lila and her main girls rocking shimmery, throwback dancehall queen trend,” a launch added.
Lila described the music as a tribute to the ladies who paved the best way in dancehall. “‘Romantic’ is my means of paying homage to dancehall and naturally the queens who made area for us — girls like Patra, who taught us the right way to be daring, sensual, and unapologetic.
