    Legislators honor community advocates at Noni Styles runway event – Caribbean Life

    The Oct. 12 awards presentation showcased collections of African apparel offered by Nigerian-born Nonya Anyadiegwu as a part of the eleventh Annual Noni Kinds runway occasion. The women wowed as they stood within the Betty Carter Auditorium for the Arts, positioned within the Main Owens Heart, Brooklyn.

    Meeting Member Monique Chandler-Waterman, an activist and advocate who co-founded East Flatbush Village, Inc., a non-profit to deal with the restricted youth companies locally, offered Nonya Anyadiegwu with a Quotation for bringing her superlative creations of traditional types from her Nigerian roots to her Brooklyn neighborhood.

    “Thanks for the superb work you’re doing my queen,” she stated to Paula Harris, her legislative aide.
