The Jamaica Howard College Affinity Community (JHUAN) has introduced the distribution of US $102,000 in scholarships to 25 college students of Jamaican heritage attending Howard College. The recipients shall be honored at JHUAN’s sixth annual fundraising occasion, HUes of Blue, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
Every pupil will obtain US $4,000 to assist offset their tuition prices. This 12 months, two college students shall be acknowledged with the inaugural Bancroft S. Gordon Scholarship Award, which celebrates excellence in athletics, lecturers, management, and group engagement. The award honors the late Bancroft Gordon, a Howard alumnus and soccer participant.
