KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The UK-based Privy Council has quashed the homicide conviction of dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel and his co-convicts.
Kartel, whose actual title is Adidja Palmer, Shawn Campbell, often known as “Shawn Storm,” Kahira Jones, and Andre “Mad Suss” St. John have been convicted on March 13, 2014, for the homicide of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
They have been all sentenced to life in jail.
The lads appealed the sentence on the Privy Council. Throughout the listening to final month, held over two days from February 14, the Regulation Lords raised questions in regards to the decide’s determination to proceed the trial after it was revealed {that a} member of the jury pool had supplied a bribe to the foreman to swing the decision in favor of Kartel.
When the Privy Council’s determination was handed down on Thursday morning
