KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC—Julian Robinson, the Opposition Spokesperson on Finance, Planning, and Public Service, recommends incorporating character schooling into the college system.
He famous that character schooling is pivotal to reforming values and attitudes in society.
“Character schooling, in line with the Affiliation for Supervision and Curriculum Growth, is ‘instructing kids primary human values, together with honesty, kindness, generosity, braveness, freedom, equality and respect. The objective is to lift kids to develop into morally accountable, self-disciplined residents,” he stated throughout his contribution to the Funds debate within the Home of Representatives.
Robinson said that character schooling “must be infused into our curriculum, and it must be infused into the curriculum on the major and secondary ranges.”
“As a result of on daily basis we see the impact of anti-social habits in our faculties and never simply the anti-social habits, however the institution of gangs inside faculties and the extent of crime and violence inside faculties. So, I’m saying to the federal government to infuse character schooling into our curriculum.
“We consider you will need to tackle these issues at an early age and socialize our younger folks for the general good of our nation,” Robinson added.
