KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The native and worldwide music fraternity is mourning the dying of Peter Anthony Morgan, the lead singer of the Grammy award-winning reggae group Morgan Heritage.
Morgan, often known as “Peetah,” who was 46, was the son of famend Jamaican reggae singer Denroy Morgan.
He and his siblings shaped Morgan Heritage in 1994, and the band gained a Grammy for Greatest Reggae Album in 2016 for “Strictly Roots.”
In an announcement posted Sunday on social media, the household requested for privateness and thanked folks prematurely for his or her love and assist. The reason for dying was not revealed.
In a message on X, previously Twitter, Prime Minister Andrew Holness stated his “coronary heart is heavy” over the information. He known as Morgan’s dying a “colossal loss” for Jamaica and reggae music.
