KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The Hashish Licensing Authority (CLA) has issued 160 multiple-category licenses as of September 2023, Business, Funding, and Commerce Minister Aubyn Hill has stated.
Talking on the three-day CanEx Jamaica Enterprise Convention on the Montego Bay Conference Centre that ended on Sunday, he stated this signifies continued enlargement and growth of Jamaica’s rising hashish trade.
“The variety of cultivator licenses granted by the class consists of 35 tier-1 cultivator’s licenses, 23 tier-2 cultivator’s licenses, and 12 tier-3 cultivator’s licenses.
“The variety of processing licenses granted included 12 tier-1 processing licenses and two tier-2 processing licenses. The variety of retailer licenses granted by class consists of 63 retail and herb home licenses,” he added.
Moreover, the CLA granted 5 analysis and growth experimental licenses and eight transport licenses, enabling the secure and controlled motion of hashish merchandise nationwide.
