    Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation celebrates achievements of young girls – Caribbean Life

    The Guyanese Ladies Rock Basis (GGRF) held its annual Scholarship & Awards Fundraising Luncheon on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Leonard’s Palazzo, positioned at 555 Northern Blvd, Nice Neck, New York.  

    This extremely anticipated occasion, hosted by Guyanese journalist, Tracey Khan, celebrated the exceptional achievements of highschool ladies of Guyanese descent and honored distinctive group leaders.

    The luncheon featured the commencement of the group’s Younger Girls’s Management Academy (YWLA) contributors, who demonstrated excellence in management, tutorial achievement, and private improvement. 

    “Our annual luncheon is a celebration of excellence, management, and empowerment,” mentioned Cloyette Harris-Stoute, Founder and President of GGRF. “We had been excited to carry collectively our group to acknowledge the achievements of our younger ladies and honor those that have made a big influence.      This 12 months’s honorees included Dr. Rosalind October, acknowledged for her distinctive contributions to the group and unwavering dedication to Guyanese arts and tradition, and four-time Guyanese Olympian Aliann Pompey, for her distinctive contributions to the sports activities group and dedication to empowering and provoking younger ladies and ladies.
