GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – The Authorities of Guyana introduced its third withdrawal for the 12 months from the Pure Useful resource Fund (NRF) on Wednesday, amounting to US$300 million.
Following parliamentary approval, this withdrawal was made beneath the Pure Useful resource Fund (NRF) Act 2021, as amended by the Fiscal Enactments (Modification) Act 2024.
In accordance with an announcement from the Ministry of Finance, the entire parliamentary approval for withdrawals from the NRF in 2024 quantities to US$1.586 billion.
The switch of US$300 million to the Consolidated Fund occurred earlier this week.
This newest withdrawal brings the entire withdrawals for 2024 to US$850 million out of the authorised whole of US$1.586 billion.
