On Thursday, GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – The Cheddi Jagan Worldwide Airport (CJIA) reported the profitable restoration of US$5,500 for a passenger.
In a press release, the CJIA’s safety division stated the passenger, Unis Cato, reported the lacking cash upon her arrival on April 18.
The CJIA safety division, demonstrating their dedication to passenger security, swiftly reviewed CCTV footage and recognized a passenger who had picked up a package deal that had fallen from Cato.
Upon sharing their findings with the Guyana Police Drive, a seamless collaboration ensued, resulting in the situation of the passenger in Berbice. Following thorough questioning, the Police recovered the complete sum of cash, which was then returned to Cato.
Cato expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the CJIA safety workers and the Guyana Police Drive, notably CEO Ramesh Ghir and Commander Krishnadat Ramanarine.
In the meantime, Chairman of CJIA Board Sanjeev Datadin counseled the airport safety group and the Guyana Police Drive for his or her work.
He famous that in 2024, the CJIA safety division efficiently recovered over 260 gadgets for passengers, together with suitcases, laptops, cell phones, jewellery, duty-free gadgets, and journey paperwork.
