Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, accompanied by a delegation of officers, is slated to go to Carriacou to survey the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl firsthand.
In accordance with an announcement from the Prime Minister’s Workplace, Mitchell plans to ship aid provides to Carriacou and its sister island, Petite Martinique.

Hurricane Beryl, a formidable Class 4 storm, struck Carriacou yesterday, leaving residents displaced and with out important companies.
Prime Minister Mitchell emphasised the pressing want for help to assist the affected sister islands.
Citizen-led aid efforts
In response, the Prime Minister’s Workplace has urged residents to contribute non-perishable meals objects, canned items, sanitary merchandise, bottled water, and diapers for each infants and adults.

Coordination of aid operations
Heading the aid efforts in Carriacou is Sylvan McIntyre, supported by Dr. Terrence Walters, the Nationwide Catastrophe Coordinator, and representatives from the private and non-private sectors.
Grenada stays underneath a State of Emergency till July 7, 2024, with authorities advising residents to take mandatory security precautions.
