Grenada police have charged a 37-year-old man with “stealing “ a ten year-old youngster who had been reported lacking since October 21 this 12 months.
Police say Delon Gludd, a carpenter was arrested and charged by officers connected to the Particular Victims’ Unit for the offence of kid stealing by “unlawfully detaining a feminine individual ten years of age”.
In an announcement, the police stated that the kid had left her house within the south of the island on Saturday October 21, and was later discovered within the western group of Harmony, St John.
They stated underneath Part 200 of the Prison Code, an individual is responsible of stealing one other individual (a) who kidnaps her or him; or (b) who unlawfully takes or detains her or him, with intent to deprive of the possession or management of her or him any individual entitled thereto, or with intent to steal something upon or about his or her physique or with intent to trigger any hurt to her or him.
