Grenada: Grenada has celebrated the “World Lecturers’ Day 2023” underneath the theme- “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞.”
Since 1994, World Lecturers’ Day is well known internationally annually on Oct. 5.
UNESCO states, “It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Advice regarding the Standing of Lecturers, which units benchmarks concerning the rights and obligations of teachers, and requirements for his or her preliminary preparation and additional schooling, recruitment, employment, and instructing and studying circumstances.”
