Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson on Wednesday partnered with Ponce Financial institution, NYC Well being + Hospitals/Lincoln, SBH Well being Programs, Verizon and Fidelis Care to host her annual Girls’s Herstory Month celebration on the Grand Slam Banquet Corridor on East Tremont Avenue within the Bronx.
Honorees for the night have been: Founding father of the South Bronx Academy for Utilized Media in New York Metropolis, Dr. Roshone Ault Lee; and President of Eugenio Maria de Hostos Group Faculty, Daisy Cocco De Filippis, Ph.D., who’s the primary Dominican Republic girl to function a Metropolis College of New York (CUNY) school president.

Receiving the Youth Award was newly named Nationwide Stem Champion Treyonna Sullivan.
