On the 2024 CIAA Indoor Observe & Area Championships held on the JDL Quick Observe, Fayetteville State College’s Inez Turner and Claflin College’s Melvin Watts emerged because the CIAA Girls’s Coach of the Yr and Males’s Coach of the Yr, respectively, after guiding their groups to repeat victories.
Turner, a Jamaican Olympian and head coach of Fayetteville State College’s Girls’s Observe and Area staff, expressed her gratitude for profitable one more championship, marking their 14th since her project on the college in 2017. She shared her appreciation on Fb, stating, “It’s so very superior to know that one’s labor shouldn’t be in useless. I’m pleased that by all of it, the victory is received.”
The Fayetteville State College Girls’s staff, referred to as the Girl Broncos, secured their fourth championship in 5 seasons, amassing 138 factors. Excellent performances by athletes like M’Smyra Seward, Irene Jeptoo, and Nia Gibson contributed considerably to their success. Winston-Salem State’s Hayleigh Bryant earned recognition because the Girls’s Observe Athlete of the Yr.
Terrell Robinson was named Males’s Observe Athlete of the Yr
On the lads’s aspect, Claflin College clinched their second consecutive championship with 131 factors. Athletes like Jonathan Flemister and Chander Anderson performed essential roles in securing victories. Saint Augustine’s Terrell Robinson was named Males’s Observe Athlete of the Yr.
