Former Trinidad and Tobago prime minister Basdeo Panday has handed away.
His dying was introduced by daughter Mickela Panday this afternoon.

With deep sorrow, we want to share that our loving husband and father, Basdeo Panday handed away on 1st January 2024, surrounded by his household.
In life and dying he was a fighter. He handed along with his boots on, conserving all people round him on their toes along with his wit and humour.
He’ll dwell on in all of us, remembered as an exquisite husband, father, grandfather, chief, and pal.
He was an inspiration to his household and all people that knew him.
We’ll proceed to have fun his life and treasure the time we had been capable of spend with him.
Panday celebrated his ninetieth birthday on Might 25, saying he had no intention of being wherever else on the earth, aside from his beloved Trinidad and Tobago, with household and mates.
