SOUTH FLORIDA – OneUnited Financial institution, an award-winning Neighborhood Improvement Monetary Establishment (CDFI) and America’s largest Black-owned financial institution, is proud to announce its 15th Annual “I Got Bank!” National Financial Literacy Contest, the place ten youngsters will win a $1,000 financial savings account. To make monetary literacy a core worth for kids, the Financial institution is providing a free “I Got Bank” E-Book.
Youngsters between the ages of 8 and 12 are inspired to learn a financial literacy book of their selecting, and both write a 250-word essay or create an artwork undertaking to point out how they might apply what they realized from the guide to their every day lives.
Submissions have to be emailed or postmarked by June 30, 2025. The Financial institution will select ten winners and award every winner a $1,000 financial savings account at OneUnited Financial institution by August 31, 2025.
Teri Williams, OneUnited Financial institution President and creator of “I Obtained Financial institution! What My Granddad Taught Me About Cash”, wrote the guide when she found that there weren’t sufficient books geared towards educating city youth about funds.
