Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, is about to chair a convention later this month targeted on the revitalization of West Indies cricket, with the goal of garnering the dedication of key stakeholders to propel the sport ahead throughout all ranges.
Titled “Reinvigorating West Indies Cricket — A Symposium for Strategic Collaboration and Innovation,” the convention is a joint initiative of the Trinidad and Tobago authorities and the regional nation grouping, Caricom.
It’s going to delve into crucial subjects such because the strategic route of West Indies cricket, cricket improvement, and the intersection of cricket and tourism.
Advocating for constructive modifications
As the present chairman of the Caricom Prime Ministerial Sub-Committee on Cricket and a proponent of governance reform in Cricket West Indies (CWI), Dr. Rowley has been instrumental in advocating for constructive modifications within the governance construction of West Indies cricket.
The symposium goals to create a collaborative surroundings to safe the dedication of Caricom Governments, Cricket West Indies (CWI), and territorial boards to strategically advance the game in all its codecs, together with Assessments, One Day Internationals, and T20s.

The choice to host the occasion was reached in the course of the forty sixth Common Assembly of the Convention of Heads of Authorities of Caricom held in Guyana in February.
