Roseau, Dominica: Dominica has been drawn in Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup CONCACAF Qualifiers Group Section alongside Jamaica, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. The group will play within the second spherical of the qualifiers in June 2024 and June 2025.
CONCACAF has introduced the draw final week and said that the primary spherical of qualifying will happen in March 2024. These matches shall be held between the 4 lowest-ranked groups and the winners of those video games will qualify for second spherical.
The second spherical will function 30 groups divided into six teams of 5 groups. The groups will play a complete of 4 matches, two residence and two away. The spherical will function matches between the groups in single-leg and round-robin play.
The winners of every group will qualify to advance to the ultimate spherical. The fixtures of the matches of group E have additionally been introduced. The matches of the spherical shall be held from June 4 to 10, 2024.
The primary match of the spherical will happen between Guatemala and Dominica on June 5, 2024. The second match shall be held between Jamaica and Dominican Republic on June 6, 2024. The third match of the round shall be held between VGB/VIR and Guatemala on June 8, 2024.
Dominica and Jamaica will come nose to nose within the fifth match of the spherical on June 9, 2024, and the sixth match will function the Dominican Republic and VGB/VIR on June 11, 2024. The seventh match will happen between Dominica and VGB/VIR on June 4, 2024.
Guatemala and the Dominican Republic will come nose to nose within the match of the second spherical on June 6, 2024. VGB/VIR and Jamaica will ply the ninth match of the spherical towards one another on June 7, 2024. On the final day, two matches shall be held which shall be between Dominica and Dominican Republic and the second shall be between Jamaica and Guatemala.
These matches will happen on June 10, 2024.
Apart from this, the teams of different groups are:
Group 1 included Honduras, Antigua and Barbuda, Cuba, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands, and Group B included Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and Bahamas. Group C will function groups akin to Haiti, Curacao, Saint Lucia, Barbados and Aruba and Group D will embrace groups akin to Panama, Nicaragua, Guyana, Montserrat and Belize.
El Salvador, Suriname, Puerto Rico, St Vincent, and the Grenadines shall be in Group F of the second spherical.
Every group will play 4 matches, and the group winners and runner-up will advance to the qualifier’s remaining spherical. The ultimate spherical will decide the groups for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Notably, 12 groups in complete could have the prospect from the second spherical to qualify for the ultimate spherical.
