The Govt Director of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Requirements (SVGBS), Ezra D. Ledger, has been appointed as the brand new Chairperson of the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Requirements and High quality (CROSQ).
His appointment was confirmed throughout the forty fifth CROSQ Council Assembly and the InDiCo-International European Standardisation System (ESS) Workshop, held from October 9 to 11, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This occasion convened nationwide, regional, and worldwide leaders and stakeholders to discover pivotal initiatives in advancing high quality infrastructure and standardisation throughout CARICOM.
Ledger succeeds Verne Emmanuel, Director of the Saint Lucia Bureau of Requirements (SLBS), and can serve a one-year time period. Additionally appointed throughout the assembly was Jose Trejo, Govt Director of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Requirements (TTBS), as Vice-Chair, changing Ledger. Collectively, they’ll steer CROSQ’s efforts in enhancing regional requirements and high quality.
Along with his position as Vice-Chair, Trejo will chair the Human Useful resource Committee (HRC), whereas Dr. Velton Gooden, Govt Director of the Bureau of Requirements Jamaica (BSJ), will lead the Finance Committee.
The CROSQ Council includes the heads of nationwide requirements our bodies from CARICOM Member States. Its mission consists of facilitating commerce throughout the CARICOM Single Market and Economic system (CSME) and with worldwide companions, enhancing the standard of products and companies within the area, and selling financial growth via the implementation of CARICOM requirements.
CROSQ, headquartered in Barbados, represents 15 CARICOM Member States and studies to the Council for Commerce and Financial Growth (COTED). The organisation continues to play a pivotal position in strengthening regional high quality infrastructure, contributing to the area’s competitiveness and resilience within the world market.
