DHAKA, Bangladesh, CMC – Niger Sultana Joty will captain Bangladesh Girls’s crew once they embark on their first-ever tour of the Caribbean later this month.
Sultana was named to guide a 16-member squad that can play three ODIs and three T20Is in opposition to West Indies Girls beginning January 19. All matches are scheduled to happen at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
The ODI sequence is important as each groups intention to safe important ICC Girls’s Championship factors, which is able to enable them to qualify immediately for the 2025 Girls’s Cricket World Cup in India.
Bangladesh at the moment sits seventh within the standings with 19 factors, simply outdoors the automated qualification zone, whereas West Indies are in ninth place with 14 factors.
With three matches remaining, each groups shall be keen to say the ultimate direct qualification spot.
The Bangladesh crew will arrive in St. Kitts on January 14. The ODI matches will happen on January 19, 21, and 24, adopted by three T20Is scheduled for January 27, 29, and 31.
