Workplace of the Prime Minister – The Constitutional Overview Committee convened its first assembly within the Parliament Chamber on March 6, 2024.
The primary order of enterprise was to elect a Chair and Deputy Chair. Hon. Claudius Francis was elected Chair of the Committee. Mr Ignatius Jean was elected Deputy Chair.
The Constitutional Overview Committee was appointed in December 2023. It contains 12 members, together with nominees from the Authorities, the Opposition and civil society representatives.

The Committee is charged with offering recommendation on suggestions from the 190–level doc submitted by the late Justice Suzie D’auvergne and her workforce in 2011.
The assembly allowed the newly elected Chair and Deputy Chair to formally interact with Committee members and start discussions on the best way ahead.
The Committee agreed to subsequent meet in April 2024.
