WASHINGTON, DC – CHILDREN OF JAMAICA OUTREACH (COJO) INC. New York-based, group will acknowledge eight people who’ve contributed considerably to the mission and imaginative and prescient of the group.
The honorees will likely be acknowledged at COJO’s thirtieth anniversary Scholarship Gala and Awards on Saturday, March 1, 2025, on the Fox Hole Nation Membership in Woodbury, Lengthy Island, New York.
Amongst these to be awarded are Marcia Y. Skyers James, Lorna Hawthorne, David L. Shields, Andrew P. Morris, Dr. Patricia V. Smith, Dr. Sandra L. Lindsay, and Maurice & Allison Russell.

Jamaica’s Ambassador to the USA, Her Excellency Audrey P. Marks will ship the keynote deal with and current the awards.

Based in 1994 by Gary Williams, COJO has been dedicated to investing in the way forward for youngsters, supporting childcare establishments, and, since 2012, offering scholarships for state wards pursuing greater training. Mr. Williams identified that since its inception, the group has supplied scholarships valued at over US$300,000.
COJO’s founder and chairman said that the group is devoted to serving much less lucky youngsters in Jamaica. Our mission is to supply enough entry to correct well being care, high quality training, and the general well-being of deprived youngsters.
