Reggae star Chronixx has reached a serious profession milestone with the Gold certification of “Everlasting Gentle,” his collaboration with R&B band Free Nationals, almost 5 years after its launch.
The Recording Trade Affiliation of America (RIAA) awarded the certification on Wednesday, September 18, after the music achieved the equal of 500,000 items bought within the U.S., combining each gross sales and streaming figures.
This marks the Jamaican singer’s first Gold certification within the American market. Everlasting Gentle, launched in October 2019, was praised by Free Nationals drummer Callum Connor on the time, who highlighted Chronixx’s distinctive inventive enter: “It was a pleasure to work with Chronixx on Everlasting Gentle. The melody concepts he comes up with are not like anybody else. They’re completely totally different from the standard R&B pop writers we work with.”

The album was additionally nominated for Finest Progressive R&B Album on the 2021 Grammy Awards.
