    ‘CHROMATIC KINGDOM’ – Caribbean Life

    It might be a bit early, however Mas Productions Limitless is just not losing any time, because the Brooklyn-based band on Saturday previewed, to extensive acclaim, its manufacturing for the West Indian American Day Carnival 2024 in early September.

    The perennial, Vincentian-owned, mas band previewed “Chromatic Kingdom” to highly-appreciative patrons at 1407 Flatbush Ave., close to Farragut Highway, in Brooklyn throughout its Tea Social 2024.

    “It’s a play on colours,” Band chief and designer Wesley Millington instructed Caribbean Life afterwards. “We’re utilizing glow colours. They blended in such a means that one can see the connection among the many colours, however there’s a distinction among the many mixtures within the costumes.”

    He disclosed that Mas Productions Limitless often makes use of its Tea Social to preview its yearly manufacturing, stating that the band doesn’t have a “band launching per se.”

    “The children on Saturday appear to love the costumes,” he added. “We bought a positive response from supporters.”

    Moreover, two members of the Brooklyn-based Dynamites Calypso Tent, Jose Juan and Persona, entertained patrons.

    Jose Juan provided “Vincy Mas” and “Till Ah Moist,” a finalist in Ragga Soca 2023 and semifinal within the Calypso Competitors 2023 in Vincy Mas.

    Persona rendered “Shiver,” “We Turning Up” and “Sarah.”

    Mas Productions Limitless was fashioned in 1992, with its first manufacturing the next 12 months.

    Final 12 months, the band introduced “Fusion” for Labor Day, “based mostly on the mixing and use of colours to create costumes,” Millington stated.
