GEORGETOWN, CAYMAN Islands, CMC – Chief Justice Margaret Ramsay-Hale has described as a sport changer for the judiciary the British Abroad Territory’s partnership with the Caribbean Company for Justice Options (CAJS).
Justice Ramsay-Hale, who met with the CAJS government director, Bevil Wooding, and its chief expertise officer, Deborah Turton, mentioned the experience and insights from CAJS have helped the Cayman Islands to navigate the dynamic nature of technological improvements impacting the authorized discipline and that they’re optimistic in regards to the collaboration.
She mentioned that the event cooperation settlement with CAJS “has helped to organize the Cayman Islands judiciary for the reshaping of the authorized discipline and to give attention to assembly the coaching and capability constructing wants of stakeholders.”
The assembly centered on the tendencies and developments impacting the administration of justice within the Cayman Islands and the broader Caribbean, notably within the areas of cyber safety, the cautious utility of synthetic intelligence (AI) instruments to help accessibility to justice, and efficiencies throughout the justice system; methods enhancing entry to justice, and bettering general courtroom efficiency.
Wooding mentioned the partnership “has been marked by important progress, together with the tangible development of the standard, effectivity, and accessibility of justice providers within the Cayman Islands.”
