    Carter misses medal at World Aquatics Champs – Caribbean Life

    T&T’s nationwide swimming champion Dylan Carter missed out on a medal on the World Aquatic Championships in Doha, Qatar.

    The 28-year-old Carter entered the pool on the Aspire Dome to provide a 23.17 seconds that earned him the fifth-place end within the closing of the 50-metre swim.

    America’s Michael Andrew was surpassed by Portugal’s Diogo Ribeiro Matos, who posted the one sub-23-second efficiency on the evening at 22.97 for the win and ensuing gold medal.

    Andrew needed to accept the silver medal for the second-place spot together with his 23.07 time, with Australia’s Cameron McEvoy sealing the bronze medal, as he touched the wall on the end line in 23.08 seconds. The fourth place was taken by Australian Isaac Cooper at 23.12, with Carter in 23.17 at fifth, Mario Yanes Molla of Spain in 23.29 at sixth, Inchul Baek of Korea in 23.35 at seventh, and the USA’s Shaine Casas in 23.47 at eighth.

    Carter additionally didn’t advance to the ultimate of the boys’s 50m freestyle after putting eighth in semi-final two on the similar location.

    He was the final to the touch the wall in 22.01 seconds and completed fifteenth quickest general.
