Dr Armstrong Alexis, Deputy Secretary-Normal, CARICOM, on Thursday 24 October delivered the keynote handle on the 2024 Annual Normal Assembly and Convention of the Caribbean Affiliation of Banks Inc. which is observing its fiftieth anniversary beneath the theme ‘50 Years Sturdy: Celebrating our Journey, Constructing Resilience, Securing Tomorrow‘. The occasion, from 22 – 26 October, is being held on the Wyndham Lodge in Bridgetown, Barbados.
“….we, CARICOM folks and establishments, have the means to safe a vivid future for our Area and its residents. Our initiatives maintain the potential to rework the monetary panorama in CARICOM Member States and assist to safe the foundations for constructing out a resilient banking trade as an environment friendly and dynamic intermediator of the allocation of economic assets throughout the Neighborhood. I encourage us all to decide to having the consultations on the institutional and nationwide ranges to make sure that all stakeholders are concerned within the means of designing and finalising the authorized and regulatory frameworks that can enable for the operationalising of those initiatives.”
