WASHINGTON, CMC – The Group of American States (OAS) says the Everlasting Consultant of The Bahamas, Chet Neymour, assumed the chair of the OAS Everlasting Council on Wednesday.
Ambassador Neymour will maintain the place till June 30, 2024.
“Right this moment, as The Bahamas takes the mantle of management, we reaffirm our dedication to multilateralism and the OAS and maintain agency in our perception that the Everlasting Council of this group is the Board of Administrators,” mentioned Neymour throughout a swearing-in ceremony at OAS’s essential headquarters right here.

The Everlasting Consultant of Grenada, Tarlie Francis, will train the vice chair for the April-June time period.
The chair of the Everlasting Council rotates each three months among the many member states of the group, in alphabetical order, the OAS mentioned.
